4 VRC Alumni selected to Island U17 Team

Four Racquet Club players are selected to Island U17 TeamThe followng 4 VRC players were selected to the BC Hockey High Performance Island U17 team:
David Walchuk - Forward
Dayne Ellison - Forward
Nic Renyard - Goalie
Kyle Richter - Forward
All four played for the South Island Major Midget team last season. David joined VRC as a six year-old Initiation player and learned the game under the many fine coaches that VRC has to offer. Kyle came to VRC in his second year of Atom hockey while Nic and Dayne joined VRC in their Bantam years, playing for Brent Polischuk and Don Robinson in their last season with the club.
The players will now compete at the BC Cup in 100 Mile House in May. From there, the journey to the ultimate goal of making Team Pacific begins.
