In light of the recent surge in Covid-19 the BC Health Officials have issued a province-wide mask mandate for all public spaces. VIAHA has also issued a mask policy for dressing rooms. Masks are therefore mandatory for participants, teams managers, safety personnel, time keeper/score keeper, coaches and players (can remove their masks once on the bench/ice).

Specific expectations of U7, U9 and U11 players:

  • Please ensure your player arrives at the arena fully dressed except for their skates and gloves. Masks or shields or helmets worn when entering/exiting the arena are optional for this age group of players.
  • To avoid dressing room congestion and to maintain PD, assistance with tying skates should be done by 1 adult.
  • Coaches may, at their discretion, tighten skates for players where a safety risk is present.

Thank-you for your compliance on these important safety matters.
